DecadesOut has expanded the goals of the Launch Pad Series to include theatrical works by performances artists, choreographers and digital artists (inc film and video). DecadesOut will focus on the development of new work by emerging and established artists. There will be a focus on work that fit squarely within the company’s mission.
The development process will consist of workshops, readings and presentations, and will be in coordination with production companies and exhibition spaces in the hopes of bringing the work to full production.

Submit Your Work Now!!
Are you a writer who has written a new play or a director who has conceived of the reworking of a classic or a digital artist who has conceived of an idea for an installation? The Launch Pad Series is designed to offer artists a forum to develop new work.
The Launch Pad is a FREE arts development program focusing on theatrical production including straight plays, performance pieces, digital presentations, etc. If you think you might be able to apply, apply. We love to hear about new work.
Submissions are open globally, and we encourage artists to submit their vision. The only thing we ask (in keeping with our mission) is that the play invoke science.
What do we mean by science?
Inspiration comes from many sources. It can come from the laws and substance of science itself. The life of a great scientist or engineer and their personal struggle in the pursuit of their ideals. It can come from a personal story of someone struggling to understand an event or time in his/her life which somehow implicates science. It can involve a field of scientific work, and the story or presentation could evolve around that. There are truly so many possibilities.
What type of work are we looking for?
We care mostly about how you’ve expressed what inspires you. How you communicate what you want to say. Again, all we ask is that it’s connected to science.
How it works?
Selected pieces will be workshopped over a period of time that best fits the piece. It will then be presented in front of a audience. DecadesOut will organize the production, design teams, casting, rehearsals, and presentation venue.
Of course, the presenting artists will take part in every aspect of the production in order to get the most from the experience. We welcome collaborations!!
After each presentation, there will be a panel discussion with the artists to learn more about their piece, their process, and inspiration.
