The Puffin Foundation supports The Science of Violence

June 26, 2017

The Puffin Foundation has awarded DecadesOut a 2017 grant for its development of the online series, The Science of Violence.

---

DecadesOut, a New York-based nonprofit arts organization dedicated to raising public awareness of the impact and social relevancy that science has on the arts, culture and human expression, has been named a grant recipient for the 2017 Puffin Foundation for its development of the documentary podcast series The Science of Violence.

The Puffin Foundation Ltd. has made it its mission to open the doors of artistic expression by providing grants to artists and art organizations that are often excluded from mainstream opportunities due to their race, gender, or social philosophy.

DecadesOut is proud of obtaining this $1,500 grant with its development of The Science of Violence, a science and society themed podcast. The premise of the series being: Behind every act of violence there are 1000 dots waiting to be connected. How did we get here?

It will be broadcasted in bi-weekly segments. The content will be part conversation, part documentary interviews, encompassing both local personalities and pertinent scientists and experts, and part archival material. Stay tuned to www.decadesout.org for more details on its premiere date and where to listen in.

DecadesOut is very appreciative of the support and looks forward to a continued partnership with the Puffin Foundation.
